Hmm, Bougainvillea does a VERY good job here. In Fact it's almost always
covered in blooms when it starts blooming here. Perhaps the extremly sandy
soil helps (ok, i live on a sand dune, in fact, when i was digging post
holes for my grandmother's staircase railing on her porch, i uncovered
nothing but golden beach sand)? Maybe Jacaranda would do well here as
well? (Another possible candidate tree if we finally get the backyard
cleaned up and cultivated)
