Greetings,
I did a poll of all the cordobeses that I know in Cazorla and finally
got a person who knows exactly how it's done.
1). Get a pole of the length you'll need. Bamboo is the lightest.
2). Afix a 25 cl tin to the tip using one screw near the upper lip of the can
3). Do not screw it in absolutely tightly, so that the tin will be
able to rotate and always remain vertical with respect to the ground.
4). Figure out how much water you can put in the pot without it
leaking out the bottom and put that much in the tin.
5).Lift the tin up to the level of the pot and tip it over by
tripping the bottom of the can against the top rim of the pot.
There seem to be also other versions using a string to tip the tin,
but no one was very specific. They also all claim it to be a hard won
skill requiring much practice.
Incidentally, it is also said that the entire culture of patio
gardens in Cordoba is folklore, having evolved in the poorest
sections in any of the places where it is practiced. And their beauty
is a result of a considerable of effort on almost a daily basis.
There you have it. I hope it helps.
Atentamente,
