I hope you're not wanting English ivy, which is notorious as a
"rat runway" and has just made the "noxious weeds" list
in Oregon .....
A trellis for kiwifruit or grapes might be an idea she'd welcome -
something that would "give back" instead of being just another
"consumer ornamental" .....
