G'day! You lovely people seem to know what
you are talking about, so I thought I might ask some advice, if someone has a
couple of minutes. My name is Bill and I am new to the list. I am an American,
but currently live in Australia. I am moving down to Brisbane, a
subtropical zone, in December into a house with a Mediterranean look. I would
like to coordinate the garden with the look of the house and therefore was
wondering if someone might have any suggestions for a variety of Mediterranean
plants/flowers/trees that would flourish in a subtropical area. The summer sun
is a bit harsh and the winters are chilly, but not snowy. There probably won't
be any shade, but there will be occasional rain (and failing that, water from a
hose, if need be!).
Also, any idea what a good resource to look into
for caring, planting, etc for these plants, etc might be? Thanks very much for
your time!
