Hi - Glenn here
The Rebelo book is actually a field guide - & a good useful one at that.
Fits into your pack very well, which is good for me but superfluous to
anyone not in South Africa. It is essentially an identification & location
guide & would have to be regarded as an addendum to other works giving
cultivation notes & the like. The other Protea book I have is Marie Vogts,
'Proteaceae, Know Them & Grow Them', which is an excellent work.

I second Davids recommendation on Cowling/Richardsons book Fynbos. If you're
going to buy one book on this part of the world, its got to be the one.
And, as others point out, its such a pity I can't find something similar on
California or Chile.
Is anyone able to recommend a similar work on the Med. Basin ?
