Annuals & Biennials by Phillips & Rix

I have bought every Phillips and Rix book that has been published, 
from Bulbs to Vegetables.

The latest is of importance to Medit-Planters because most annuals 
come from winter-rainfall areas.

I saw the familiar white-covered soft-cover book at Powells Books in 
Portland Oregon, USA, then noticed a green-covered book with the same 
title and authors.  I checked inside and the pictures are the same on 
the same numbered pages.  It is published by Firefly and cost about 
$10 less, so I bought it.

I'm about half through, and have a little list. Adonis aleppica from 
Turkey is gorgeous.

The authors are offering to help us find a seed source for any of the 
plants in any of their books.  email them at symosa@aol.com quoting 
the book title, page number, and full name of the species.  I would 
hope that readers would check their usual sources first, so that 
Roger and Martyn's generous offer can be confined to the truly 
difficult to find seed.  After all, we want the next book (Alpines, I 
think) written and published.  It would be a shame if the authors got 
overwhelmed with seed info requests.
