Sternbergia lutea cos it's such a wonderful splash of colour and sooo undemanding. Cyclamen species for flowers and foliage. Scilla peruviana. Species tulips such as greigii & kaufmanniana & their hybrids and Anenome coronaria for brightening my spring, esp the latter which seeds itself around wonderfully. Our native garrigue iris (lutescens) All of those for being easy to grow and lovely and Pancratium maritimum for defying all my attempts to grow it and thus presenting me with an ongoing challenge.

A very non-scientific survey for an article I am writing - what are your favorite Mediterranean climate bulbs and what makes them your favorites?
