Lechenaultia biloba.
Gorgeous plant. That area of Australia has a number of intense sky blue flowers, and the colour is rare in other parts of the world.

It was photographed in late August 2001 along one of the unsealed roads in the West Midlands region north of Perth. As I recall it was low-growing, less than a foot in height. Thank you.
