Anyone know about Oncoba spinosa

Hi Gang--

I have just been given a small Oncoba spinosa plant. This is apparently
some sort of large shrub from tropical Africa, with nice white flowers and
edible fruit, and is apparently grown in greenhouses in colder climates.

I want to grow it outside in my definitely-Mediteranean climate.

So far, I have not been able to find out anything useful about its
temperature, water, or soil requirements. Have any of you had any
experience growing this plant.
