Re: Plant Snobs, common plants used poorly
My thoughts excatly, this summer ill have that sand berm covered in
lovely round leaves and bright red flowers. I did some yard work for a
relative and she wanted the nasturtiums that grew throught her fence
from her neighbors yard cut down. Three weeks later i came back to cut
down the weedy grasses in that area and the nasturtiums had grown back
as full as they were before i cut them! My relative gave up :). (
unfortunately there were no flowers yet so i didnt have access to
seeds). I think this will be a striking combo with the glads and the
nasturtiums. The glads are a white flowered type, so red and white will
look nice together. When i went to plant the seeds, there was enough to
cover the berm, the area near the faucet, and a smaller area near my
Dietes vegeta. I think i might cover another area in a jewel mix type
Nasturtium, just to make it look a little more natural :)
