Which reminds me =). I just got done mulching most of my front yard. I
had never done this before because i wasn't sure of a place where i
could get lots of it for cheap. Anyway on a commercial for my cities
landfill, they mentioned they had mulch (it was in their "last chance
mercantile, where they recycle anything that they can recycle from
peoples trash). Well, i checked it out and asked how much it was. It
was only 75 cents for a large garbage bags worth. We bought about 7
bags of the stuff for about 8 dollars. I think this mulch comes from
all the christmas trees that got recycled, since it smells like pine
and fir. Anyway this may seem silly to you all, but i am amazed =).
Definately beats having to water the yard everyday And it makes the
yard look 100 times nicer than just the sand. It also keeps the sand
berm from eroding away. Hopefully it will keep weeds down. I can also
find the smaller plants in my yard easier now.
