Well, in my jet-lagged state, I've dumped Alessandra's new e-address.
So, If you see this, please send me a message, so I can up-date you.
For all you medit-planters:
Alessandra's wonderful garden at the American Academy in Rome is so
much more beautiful than any magazine article can convey. Just walking
through gives one, not only a sense of ancient history, but also a
certain tranquility of spirit that only the best gardens impart.
The breeze which comes up the hill from the city below even has a
name from the time the early Romans built their villas there. It sifts
through the native Quercus ilex, Pinus pinea and olives speading their
scent through the garden. So romantic! I could have stayed forever.
Can't wait to get my slides developed.
Thanks Alessandra for an unforgetable day there and at Ninfa.
