Pacific Horticulture published an index covering 1976-1995,compiled by
Joan Citron and Joan DeFato, copyrighted 1996.It's a very useful volume
and it would be wonderful
if there was a "prequel", but retroactive indexing is a huge job.

I recently bought the fall 1979 issue of Pacific Horticulture at my local
used bookstore, mostly for an article by the late Ben Hager
on bearded Iris. Somewhere in the midst of my eventual cover to
cover reading, it occurred to me that there exists in the back issues
of this journal in its various incarnations a vast treasure trove of
information of interest to me, and possibly to others on this list.
I have been a subscriber for a number of years, but only since moving to
California in the mid-80's, and am embarrassed to admit that I am
only now trying to find some sort of cumulative index to Pacific
Horticulture (and possibly to its predecessor Journal of the California
Horticultural Society).
I know that Sean put up their web page, but a quick survey of that and a few
of my old issues has so far yielded no results. Does anyone out there know
if such a thing exists, in what format, and under what title ? Also, if in
print, is it still available for purchase?
