Re: Eucs as houseplants?

Nan - Unkind to mock the afflicted! To be fair, usually not so much
'grown as houseplants' as 'overwintered in the house.' I've done it
myself with pollarded specimens of species which I know won't survive
outside here and when greenhouse and giant-cold-frame were already
filled to bursting. Now of course I'm far too sensible... THough I
confess I still do it with tender acacias (unpollarded!) - they go in
our south-facing 10ft high bay windows, much to the amazement of
passers-by: I usually aim to get a few in flower for Christmas day,
then hope for a horizontal snow-storm blowing in off the sea, just so
I can watch the expressions on people's faces, as they're struggling
against the elements and suddenly catch sight of this
omigod-what-is-that!
