[I'm re-sending this message because it was returned to me for an unsound
reason, i.e. that it had already been sent by me or someone else.]
My potted amaryllis which hadn't had a flower stalk in years is blooming
now and is spectacular. I'd been watering the leaves for all those years,
noticing that the bulb had shrunk. By this year the bulb was much larger
and I replaced the soil with pure compost.
But I've been noticing, for the past week, that the bulb looks a bit soggy
on the outside. Should I stop watering until the flowers finish or should I
just water less?
