double and triple messages

Today I have noticed double messages from a couple of people.  One 
mentioned that she was re-sending her message because she received a 
message saying it had already been sent.

I'm not sure whether there is a problem with the sender's machine, or 
the receiving machine, but I thought I would try sending one message. 
I am sending this only once, so if it appears twice, I will try to 
figure out why.
