Re: Mexican oregano


Nan, it is my understanding (and here comes one of the common hiccups about using *common names*) that if you are referring to the Mexican Oregano traditionally used in Mexican cooking, that would be Lippia graveolens.  If you are referring to the Texas native shrub, that would be Poliomentha longiflora, which is not used for any cooking purposes as far as I know.
