Something i've noticed is, Island flora seems to tend
toward rosettes on top of long stalks. I've seen it
with the silversword alliance (descended from the
Tarweeds), Lobelias in the African Highlands and
Hawaii, Echiums from the Islands off of Africa. Is
this a typical "island" trait of plants that have
evolved from mainland forms?
