Re: Arboriculture expert

Alison Berry was teaching Arboriculture when I was a
student there. Also John Lichter. John taught when
Alison was on sabbatical; I was one of his students.
Call the Environmental Horticulture and Urban Forestry
dept--find them at www.ucdavis.edu. I know John will
recognize my name.

Dennis Makishima (sp?) from Merrit College, in the SF
Bay Area has an excellent reputation as an aesthetic
pruner. The UCBG may have his contact info. He has
since retired from teaching. The college has a great
horticulture reputation for a city college! They have
a pruning club with monthly workshops and demos--at
least they did when I was in the area in 2003.

Good luck!
