RE: Runoff Retention

HI Ben:
I strongly suggest you contact the Los Angeles County or Orange County
Cooperative Extension folks in the Environmental Horticulture office. They
have a lot of experience in water conservation and will probably have a list
of contractors for you.

Dennis is the Los Angeles and Riverside go-to guy.
The UCCE web page for LA county Env. Hort. Is:

I can't encourage people enough to use the valuable resources available
through the Cooperative Extension offices in their counties and on the web
for anyone worldwide. Many publications are available, and the information
is usually current with the latest horticultural research.
Good luck, and I applaud your efforts to engage in this valuable
conservation effort.

Subject: Runoff Retention

Hi,
Does anyone have any experience with rainwater runoff
retention systems? I'm looking for contractors (in
greater Los Angeles) with experience installing rain
percolation traps or other underground retention
devices. I'm also interested in more low-tech ways of
keeping rain water on site, such as incising solid
concrete, dry wells, placement of trees and shrubs
along swales, etc.
Thanks!
