Fire resistant plants

Hi Nan and David,

The discussion about fire retardant and fire resistant plants has been interesting.  The Country Fire Service here in South Australia has compiled a list of these plants, both native and exotic, though they don't say how they arrived at it:

The Victorian society for native plants has published a list which they base on the experience of their members in bushfire areas:

However they confine it to Australian plants.
