The gift shop at the UCSC Arboretum has an exciting list of plants for sale, including many Australian plants not available in Canada.
Apparently there is also an annual (or biennial?) sale, with members being able to buy a few hours earlier than the general public.
What is this sale like? Are the plants bought-in or propagated from the Arboretum's own collection?
Does one need to line up a couple of hours in advance of opening? Can you even get close to the tables? ( I've been to some sales where I blindly reached over people in front of me to just grab anything.)
