Hey Dana -
Yes, it is indeed Paulownia. These flower buds haning on all winter
really make this tree stand out during this time, don't they. Here at
my office (where I am known as the resident 'botanist'), several
non-gardeners have asked me about a tree they see not far away from
our building, noticing for the first time that this tree is different.
