Re: March in the garden mystery plant update


We have a consensus! The second bulb is California native Blue Dicks, Dichelostemma capitatum aka Brodiaea pulchella. Our native-plant-expert neighbor is astonished it is volunteering in our yard, having thought it went extinct here a long time ago. Funny how one can nurture a desired plant, only to have it die, yet have another beautiful plant appear and thrive where one least expects it.
