I was struck by our common mind set.The above just about tells the
story."MOM"is creating a bunch of mediocre, pablum types protected as it
were from the cradle to the grave by all these over hyped regulations
and legislation. If no on were willing to take/live with risk doubt
seriously if any of us would be here now, particularly those who
immigrated to the states from a far.I can see it now "but can you
guarantee my/our safety ?not only during passage but after arrival from
the plants, food ,medications etc, etc.??"no one would be here save the
original citizens who knew there are no guarantees.
Among all the endangered things ,common sense is perhaps already extinct
and we just dont know it yet. What kind of future will the young have and
what will become of humanity without it.?.....There are several
movements afoot that would indeed not only ban your poisonous plants but
far more than that.In example there was great pressure to remove Ricinus
communis from public seed sources and indeed it is harder to find but
still available if one searches.
Sorry to get on my soap box but since I raised/guided 3 children to
adulthood , they made it despite all the normal perils that life holds
some luck surely but mostly instruction on how to avoid those dangers
.Concerned for the future, given the current trend to make everyone else
responsible for ones own duties and deeds.
