Here in Sydney Australia I have an orange-red Pentas lancelata that flowers
all year round, and the plant has formed a mound about 36 inches high; it
is planted with the roots in the shade but flowers in the sun. It makes a
good cut flower, too. Other suggestions would be Kniphofia, Strelitzia, and
Rudbeckia.
