Several months ago there was a lengthy, fascinating, and perhaps non-Med
discussion of cocaine being found in Egyptian mummies. The problem with
this observation was that cocaine is believed to be exclusively a New World
plant and shouldn't have been found in Egypt at the time of the
mummification. It was a more interesting thread if you had seen the TV
program that had spawned the discussion.
For those who missed it, I see where The Learning Channel is rebroadcasting
this program on cable on Monday, March 2, 1998, at 9pm EST and 12:00am
(midnight) EST.
It's a provocative program, to say the least.
Enjoy!
