In our discussion of natives we should realize that hybrids occur
throughout the world from Eucalyptus in Australia to Rockroses in Italy
to Arctostaphylus and Ceanothus in California. I prefer straight species
myself but I must admit that hyrids, whether "natural" or "artifical"
sometimes fill an important void for specific needs in the garden.
