Lavandula stoechas

A subspecies of this grows wild in the hills above us, generally a few
miles inland from a height of a few hundred feet up. This means that in
summer it is hot and dry for several months at a time (shade temps always
up to the 80s from June to Sept and sometimes up to the 90s from May to
Oct, occasionally over 100 in Aug; sea level humidity down to the 40%s). It
always seems to grow in the hottest spots eg by rock walls facing S. Quite
a bit of winter wet tho.
