Here's a question for those of you who know California natives. I'm
planting a fremontia and I know that summer water spells death for these
plants. But how do I get it through the first summer? Do I water a few
times the first summer and then stop or do I leave it to its own devices.
It's in a 1 gal. container, and about 14 inches tall, and flowering now
(they are incredibly beautiful in flower!).
Thanks!
Nan

So goes an old chinese proverb:
If you want to be happy for a few hours, get drunk;
If you want to be happy for a week-end get married;
If you want to be happy for a week, barbeque a pig;
If you want to be happy all your life long become a gardener
