I'm working on an article on people who have home nurseries, who have
converted their homes and yards into small nurseries. In the process, I am
wondering what nursery folk do in the "off season." HEre in Southern
California, we can garden year-round. But for folks where there is a true
winter, when plants stop growing in late fall, what do you do at that time
of year? Does your nursery shut down? Do all of your nursery-related
activities shut down? Are you selling other garden-related products? If so,
what are they? Are you planning for the spring? Do you have other
businesses that you are involved in? And if you have no sales for several
months of the year, how do you plan your business so as not to go broke at
those times?
Thanks so much!
Nan

So goes an old chinese proverb:
If you want to be happy for a few hours, get drunk;
If you want to be happy for a week-end get married;
If you want to be happy for a week, barbeque a pig;
If you want to be happy all your life long become a gardener
