Re: Desert Wildflowers in CA

Hi, Nan and all,

I've been lurking on the medit plants list awhile but not having much computer
time have not gotten around to posting anything. I am taking a ten day
vacation April18-26 roughly and going down to San Diego, where I've never
been. I'd appreciate any suggestions for interesting gardens to visit. I've
been dying to see Anza Borego in bloom but the timing is going to be off I
think. We plan to go out there anyway because I love deserts anytime... and
we'll be doing some kayaking
and snorkeling. But my passion is really horticulture so if there are must-
sees please let me know...

As intro: I've been a professional gardener for about 15 years, all in the San
Francisco Bay Area. The last 8 i've spent managing the grounds and gardens of
Kaiser Center in Oakland, Ca which includes a 3 1/2 acre roof garden. The
garden is really interesting and has many beautiful med and med climate
specimens, as well as the more standard fare. It's open to the public M-F 7am
to 7pm. I love having visitors especially plantspeople...

best to all,

Deborah Lindsay
