Carol,

This plant can look very pretty in bloom, and smell very nice.  But 
it's not the nicest looking shrub, especially when it's not in bloom. 
I've seen them look their best when they are planted behind something 
like a fence or a lower-growing shrub, so as to cover up their rather 
leggy and spindly stalks.
