hello all,
I want to thank everyone on this list for all the helpful gardening
information so generously given.
Just to demonstrate what a good student I am, since joining this
newsgroup I have:
-tried the no-till method in various parts of the garden (still too early
for me to say whether it improves soil quality but at least it keeps the
weeding down)
-planted blueberries in southern california (and YES! I have some
blueberries forming)
-avoided planting japanese honeysuckle and spreading the little bit
of oxalis pes caprae that I have.
- obtained helpful advice on landscaping, travelling, and composting (I
am now on my fourth batch of compost which shows how short a time I've
been gardening when I can still remember each batch of compost).
-and lately, thanks to Moira's description of the rust life cycle, I have
been inspecting the orange bumps on my roses to determine what
stage of the life cycle I am dealing with.
thanks again
Angela Lee
