This is the perfect place to plant a tight (every 20 inches) row of the
much loved and over used rose 'Queen Elizabeth'. This will give you a
compact thin screen (the rose is tall and leggy...usually a defect, but
here an attribute that is handy), and you will have a cutting hedge as well
to make bouquets for welcome gifts.
The compost will take care of any feeding for the roses roots.
