Excuse me "butting in" Beverley, but the problem lies either with the
ISP that some people use (which either does not permit, or spoils,
attachments) or with the email server the individual uses, some of which
do not process attachments.
Those who "go with the flow" and use either of the major browser
packages to handle their email have no trouble with attachments
(provided their ISP handles them), but "it takes all kinds" and some
people prefer specialist email packages.
As one of those who /can/ receive attachments,I have no personal problem
with them, but I appreciate that they are a fearful nuisance to others.
Like Beverley, I do ask Charles not to abandon this List, which is
generally a tolerant one and shares some interesting stuff around.
