Kurt
I grow this outside in Tasmania, cool-temperate climate. It is very
undemanding except it gets straggly in Winter and the canes are too long
but
I don't prune heavily until late Winter. I found the plant in an old
fashioned back yard nursery mainly selling "porch" or conservatory
plants.
I noticed a young separate plant growing near the original and
transplanted
it to the country garden where the temps are lower and with less
protection
but not so tired soil as in the town garden. it is growing too well.
Both
are still in flower which is very late but we have had a record dry
Summer.
It has one peculiar and not so great habit - on a very few days it will
have
a very odd and rather unpleasant scent.
I have a photo somewhere but do not dare to attach :=], shall look up
where
I have published it in the Suite101 and give the URL, Gay
