There are two gardens everyone should put on his/her list:
Ninfa and La Landriana. Both of them are south of Rome near the coast. The first
is without a doubt, for me, one of the truly great gardens of the world. Its
history is too long for this short message, but after three visits at different
times of the year, I have to say it is just about my favorite in the
world.Created in a former small city that over the years has collapsed and for a
long time was uninhabitable - there are med plants growing in all directions.
And two rivers running through the gardens. Sheer magic.La Landriana was created
by a great lady, recently deceased, next to one of the great nurseries of
Europe. There are all kinds of gardens there - including roses (my favorite
parts) - and one of our members on this program is now working there - thank
heavens it will be saved from destruction.
I hope she will write some details about it. bill grant,
