help id a plant?

Hi all,

I got forwarded a jpg, taken at Table Mountain this spring, of a blue flower
with 4 petals,a 4-branched style,and what as far as I can see are 8 stamens.  It
looks to me to be in the poppy family.Its flower looks much like
an Eschscholtzia only blue. The foliage is really hard to make out but appears
to me to be simple and linear rather than compound.
Anyone have a guess? If anyone wants to see the image let me know and I'll
forward it to individuals.
