Dear friends,
I want to tell all of you about a very good quality fig that grows wild in
the mid hills of the North West Himalayas. The fruit is very tasty but is
much smaller in size than the cultivated figs. Secondly, it is not a fruit
of mediterranean region like the cultivated fig. Fegra can withstand
humidity. The fruits will start ripening now.
This is a very interesting plant. The young fruits of this wild fig are
cooked and eaten as a vegetable. It is a seasonal delicacy.
There is a picture of FEGRA fruits in my website.
If any list member is interested in more details about this fruit, he may
contact me.
