At UCLA, both the Mildred Mathias Botanic Garden and
the well-documented campus plantings overall are worth
seeing. I believe it is easier to visit on a weekend
with classes out of session and parking more
available.
June is often when the marine layer is most persistent
("June gloom"), but one never knows. Some jacarandas
might still be in bloom around the city.
