Not mentioned yet are the botanic gardens at California State at Fullerton
and the University of California at Riverside. The latter might not be
worth the long ride on a tight schedule, but it has been ages since I went
there. I am not familiar with Fullerton, but their web site would indicate
it might be a good bet.
