I have been growing this shrub for over 30 years in my unheated greenhouse. I thought it was Vinca rosea, seed of which I had bought from Park's. It has shiny evergreen leaves and has never flowered. Today I decided I had waited long enough and began to cut it down. To my surprise, I found it was flowering. Perhaps it has done so every year and I never noticed the green flowers.
Can anyone identify it? I have put a picture on my Picasa account: http://picasaweb.google.com/ldiane.whitehead/MysteryEvergreen# Diane Whitehead Victoria, British Columbia, Canada maritime zone 8, cool Mediterranean climate mild rainy winters, mild dry summers
