Thanks, they're in ground already. I'll keep them watered and hope for the best!

So, today I bought a pair of these plants, as well as some Galvezia speciosa and a Banksia integrifolia. I had forgotten to leave the root ball alone and sort of scored the roots of the Dendromecon roughly and came online to read that they *really* resent root disturbance. Have I doomed these plants to a certain death? Should I prepare their graves and purchase a couple of others, or is there a ray of light?
Thank you,
