Re: Going dryer, or Garden is a verb

Ah yes, children!

I have a half acre. I had a lawn when I had young children. By the time they were about 10, the lawn had gone except for one area just large enough for badminton. Even that has disappeared now.

My children are now in their early thirties. Last week they said how upset they had been when my rhododendrons replaced the lawn. I was very surprised, as they had never given any indication, but then, they were never complainers.

Thinking back, I remember them spending a long time running up and rolling down lawn-covered hills in a park in Vancouver.

So, do consider your children, and also consult them, in case they are as restrained with their opinions as mine were.

We have two young children and a baby, so the lawn is used.
