On May 21-22, Return to Monterey: Regionalism and Sustainability study
weekend will take place on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula, where we will
explore the work of Bernard Trainor, his colleagues and cohorts, and study
the designs, details, and plantings that make their gardens so distinctively
regional and sustainable.
There are less than 10 openings left for the event. If you went to the
Gardening under Mediterranean Skies event in Monterey a couple of years ago,
the gardens are different for this event. The focus of the talks on
Saturday are the designs and on Sunday the construction methods and
materials used to create these gardens. A panel discussion on Saturday
evening will discuss these further with questions from the audience. We are
hoping to attract designers and contractors who can take advantage of this
information.
