[medit-plants] Re: GDPR and this forum

Sean, it was really kind of you to do this in the 1st place.  I stopped getting notes after a while, but valued it.

Hi Sean,

Thank you for all you hard work to keep this forum going. I’m one of the participants who is guilty of not participating! I guess times change. I have always enjoyed the questions, answers and comments through the years. Again thank you so much!

Kind regards,

Cindy Evans

Hi Folks -

Like many other services on the Internet, Freelists must come into compliance with the GDPR (
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Data_Protection_Regulation).  This will mean a complicated process for each subscriber in order to remain subscribed to this forum.  Doing nothing will likely result in you being unsubscribed by Freelists.

Since this group - an attempt to rekindle the original Medit-Plants group started back in 1994 - has never really worked, I think it is time to let it go.  The forum has remained largely dormant due to very low participation.  I have tried to 'seed' discussion periodically, with little result.

The Hort.net archives will remain online for anyone who would like to search/browse their content.

I will be looking into how to shut down this forum in the next week or two.
