Hello everyone,

I found a book a few years back that has helped me understand the mediterranean climate better and how to grow some plants from other regions than my own. It is -

Plant Life in the World's Mediterranean Climates: California, Chile, South Africa, Australia, and the Mediterranean Basin

The author reviews the specifics of the various mediterranean climates in some detail so it is a bit technical but quite enlightening. I believe there are still copies available even though it appears to be out of print.
