South SF Bay Area gardeners--recommendations??

Hi all--hope you don't mind a region-specific question from a
most-of-the-time lurker. (Benjamin, born last August, has been taking up
most of the time & attention we used to devote to gardening!) We live in
Sunnyvale and are in need of a mow-&-blow type gardener who knows enough
about plants not to prune our White Rose of York like a hybrid tea or take
the weed whacker to our Douglas irises and species geranium (or who will at
least remember when I ask him not to). Does such a creature exist? Any
recommendations? Please email me directly at vshea@galway.batnet.com. If
there are a lot of responses & others are interested, I'd be happy to
compile a directory.
