problems with the list

Some people have been having trouble posting to the group.
This was due to a problem at UC Davis. Apparently there are
lists and then more lists where our subscription list is
kept. Somehow the 'efficient' list got our of sync with the
list I can view as list manager. So, people seemed to be
subscribed by the computer thought they weren't. The computer
tried to be helpful by searching for the 'unsubscribed' user
in the alternate list, where it found them. It then sent s
very confusing message telling them they were unsubscribed
and suggesting they use the 'alternate' address - which was
the same as the one they were using in the first place!!
(guess you had to be there to understand the above!).
Anyway, they had dome some work to 'rebuild' these lists to
solve the problem, but our humble little list seemed to be
among a few that 'slipped through' this maintenance effort.
Sorry for the confusion - should be fixed now, so go ahead
and try to post those messages that were rejected previously!
